This Trail takes
you through the "Great
Wood" and through
parts of Stanton
Park, The park provides
an exceptionally wide
range of habitats such
as remnants of ancient
woodland, hedgerows,
wildflower meadows,
wetlands, a lake, streams
and a series of recently
restored ponds.
Following the huge success
of the trails on this web site Tara
has just been asked to research some walks
for a new book which will hopefully
be ready later this year. The walks will
cover North Wiltshire and be ideal for
all her four legged friends. If you
would like to notified when the book
is ready just drop us a quick price email
at tara@tarastrails.co.uk
£tbc. If you are interested in
testing some of the walks in advance
for us get in touch.

Webbs Wood Warning!
Pip has let us know that the Forestry

at the moment which means that you may
not be able to follow our route at the

Introducing Tara
Tara is a young Collie cross who loves
her walks in the Wiltshire countryside of which there are lots to be discovered within a
short distance of the Swindon town. Tara was rescued from the Diana
Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre - please support them If you don't have a dog, no
matter, theres nothing to stop you from equally enjoying them
Share your walks
Tara would like to share her
favourite walks in Swindon with you and in return she would like to hear about
yours. Help make this an active online community for dog walkers who live in or
around the Swindon area, so have a look around our site and join in.
Tara's Trails was started when we found it almost
impossible to find walks in and around Swindon that weren't
half day or whole day treks. We are building up a website of
short walks that can be completed in about 2 hours and less
than 3.5 miles. So don't worry if you are not a rambler these
walks should be suitable for that Sunday afternoon stroll.
We want you to enjoy our walks and trails so
please take time to check our saftey guide before you set out.
